Monthly Update: January 2008

February 13, 08 by Stealthy

I was negative $1,355.28 for January. It looks pretty bad and it is bad, but not as bad as it looks. I paid almost $2,500 toward one of my credit cards when my 0% expired, which I was expecting. I also paid close to $400 toward my medical bills. This makes 2 straight months of running with a negative net income. In February I should be running back in the positive with my tax refund coming.  I did buy a $600 camera, but in my opinion that is an investment.

Net worth decreased by 1.58% for the month.  In February my ESPP payment purchased about $3,000 worth of shares.  $1,000 of that was a match from the company, so my net worth will go up by at least $1k.

January 2008 Net worth

Starting in February I’ll be back on track with my finances.  My goal is to transfer $500 to savings each month.

2008 goals for “Stealth Wealth Inc.”

January 15, 08 by Stealthy

2008 Goals
-Continue to contribute 6% of my income to my 401k

-Get my Emergency Fund to $3k

-Save $4K for engagement ring

-Stretch Goal: Start a dividend portfolio with at least $3k

-Pay $100 per month on Sallie Mae Student Loan

-increase EPS to $1.00

-Reach a book value per share to -$1.00 by year end

-Reach and maintain a profit margin of 50% (if a merger occurs this will not be possible, but there is a merger in the works :D)

-Increase Revenue to $22k for ‘08 (This is a rough estimation.  I’m not sure how much the pay for the new position will be.)

A chance for a higher income…

I got an e-mail yesterday telling me congratulations that I am 1 of 2 people getting a second interview for a position in the company.  This position will be as an assistant to the loan officers in the branch.  I think I have a pretty decent shot at getting the job, but I’ve felt like that before when I was job hunting and didn’t get it.  At least I know I have a 50% chance of getting it.

The pay range is from the mid 20’s to mid 30’s, but I would probably start at the bottom because of my lack of experience.  The bonus would be bigger though and this position would be a great step toward being a loan officer.  I’m kind of interested in commercial lending, but I’m not sure right now.

ESPP statement this week

October 22, 07 by Stealthy

I’ll be updating my holdings in my ESPP this week.  I get my quarterly statement, which will boost my net worth a little bit.

Also my “new business venture” will be on hold for a couple weeks because I’m helping my girlfriend get her jewelry site up and running in time for christmas.

My vacation this week hasn’t seemed much like a vacation.  I have been busy, but I feel like I haven’t done anything at the same time… if that makes sense.

Goodbye….until humpday

I will be having surgery for my kidney stones on tuesday morning. I guess I’ll have to pay the hospital what the insurance company doesn’t pay.  Scratch that…the Dr. decided to give me 3 more weeks  to pass it since it is so close :D

Also later this week I’ll be posting a rough draft of some financial highlights about me as a company and I’ll also explain some of the details of how it will work. I will be expecting some input and ideas of ways to make it more readable and to make it somewhat interesting. I know reading a bunch of stats isn’t the funnest thing to do.

I do have one question for any stat gurus out there. I’m thinking of setting the stock price that flows with a constant P/E ratio. Like say I set the P/E ratio at 10 forever. The stock price will rise as earnings rise. My question is….should I set the P/E ratio at 10 since I’m a slow growth “company” at the moment or set it at the average P/E ratio of 15? Or does it even matter?

Until later this week…Goodbye!

Not too much going on…

August 15, 07 by Stealthy

Not too much going on in my little personal finances. I will say that my spending so far this month has been minimal. I think I have about $80 charged on my credit card. Usually this at this point in the month I normally have about $150 charged, so I have cut my expenses in half. I have cut down on my eating out and I haven’t driven 2 1/2 hrs to see my girlfriend the past two weekends because of her being out of town the first weekend and last weekend she came to see me.

I have been taking sandwiches to work this week so I have not been dipping into my $10 a week budget for lunches because my mom bought the sandwiches :D

I’ve been busy and I haven’t had time to bring up some of my old post but that will come eventually, which most of you have read. I have a couple post in mind, but I haven’t had time to sit down and write them up yet. (haven’t made time)

Good News…Bad News…

August 13, 07 by Stealthy

Good News first…I’ve got the site back up after my mistake of deleting wordpress off of the server. I also was smart enough have back up files saved on my hard drive.

Bad news…I later deleted my database, which is what holds all of my previous post. I deleted the database trying to fix my original problem :/

Well throughout the week I will try to repost some of my content that I have saved, but for the majority of the content…It is lost FOREVER.

Sorry,
