Cash for stock investments

I’m trying to find so cash to invest in dividend stocks to start building a dividend portfolio. Now is a great time to buy in to solid companies. One of my goals right now is to build our family’s online savings account to $10k, we’re only at about $6.5k, right now. After completing that task, we’re planning to throw all of our extra money we have left over into paying one of my student loans, which is about $10k.
Well I’m antsy and wanting to invest some money into stocks, but am sticking with the above plan. I have just made an agreement with my wife that any income I make outside of my 9-5 job I can use for stock investments. This includes birthday/christmas money, income from google ads on 2 of my websites, income from ehow, and maybe write an e-book. We’ll see how that goes.
Incom from google hasn’t really been alot, I have about maybe $5 stockpiled, but I haven’t had very many visitors to either site, just maybe 10-20 per day. So now I’m putting a plug in to check my blog daily. If you have anything you would like me to write about I would love to hear ideas. I work in banking as a loan officer assistant, so I have experience in consumer lending and will grow into mortgage & commercial lending eventually.
Also I’ve just started e-how, but have heard some people make pretty decent income from this site. Income is monthly and some people just write a hundred or so articles then not write for months and still get income from people visiting their articles. I’ve only written one article for now, but I hope to next week write maybe 2-5 per a day. That’ll give me something to do during my lunch break and while my wife is cooking supper.
The e-book idea is only in the brainstorming stages, but it maybe an option if I can come up with enough info and ideas to sell. We’ll see on this all.
Anywho, once I start investing again with my sharebuilder I’ll keep you posted and let you know. I would really love to buy some GE right now with their price.
I like your plan. Build that e-fund and use all “extra” money for investing and “playing” with, so to speak. I get the same way… I get so excited with the decline we’ve had in the market to invest a lot of my extra cash.
I need a little more patience, I suppose. It’s just such a great opportunity for those of us that have some extra cash.
