There are 2 things holding me back from doing it right now. 1) I want to open it with the $2,500 limit for free trades. I don't have the money right now because <a href="http://www.stealthwealth.net/2007/12/12/hard-letting-go/" rel="nofollow">I just fully funded my ESPP for 2008. </a> 2) I'm cautious as to where I put my money right now because I expect to need it for the near future. I'm planning to buy a ring and get married soon and will need it at my fingertips. I continue to use and enjoy Sharebuilder right now because they have a pretty decent money market rate that I can use as an Emergency Fund. I still plan to start a dividend portfolio and I have gone as far as planning my portfolio for when I do open my Zecco account to build a dividend returning machine. :D I don't want to take what money I have and invest in dividend stocks that I should hold long-term and end up selling them to pay for a ring. You'll be the first person I go to when I sign up for Zecco. That is a nice referral fee and you will definitely deserve it.
